For the area of Bremen/Bremerhaven we are looking for a Coating Advisor (Permanent position)

Requirements:

Responsibility

  • Carry out inspections of (global) projects in the fields of marine and/or protective independently
  • Make suggestions to the customers regarding the application of paints and varnishes 
  • Verify compliance with specifications and guidelines
  • Provide technical advice for the customers and bring about technical as well as practical solutions
  • Ensure the effective communication with the direct manager, sales, customer service as well as external contacts which include customers, applicators and supervisors
  • Carry out project surveys and complaint inspections
  • Attend projects and inspections involving what is to be considered complicated high risk areas or products
  • Create reports on a regular basis
Qualifications 
  • Successfully completed technical training, ideally in the area of metal construction or corrosion  protection or as a welder/painter
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as an applicator or coater in the field of heavy corrosion protection OR previous experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of technical specifications
  • FROSIO and/or NACE would be an advantage
  • Willingness to travel worldwide (at least 12 weeks per year)
  • High degree of perseverance and motivation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional and friendly appearance and the ability to   adapt to different contact persons
  • Fluency in English and German
