According to SSPC-SP 10/NACE 2 Near-White Blast Cleaning, a near-white blast cleaned surface is free of all visible oil, grease, dirt, dust, mill scale, paint, oxides, corrosion products, and other foreign matter, staining is limited to no more than 5% of each unit area of surface.
